The Joy of Upcycling
I am thrilled to introduce our upcycled greeting cards. Isn't it exciting to be able to upcycle something old into something new?

Oh! Another way I have also used some of the greeting cards is by adding them to journals I've created. My oh my do they look nice! I hope you'll take a look and let me know what you think. I welcome your thoughts and any ideas you may have.
Until next time friend,

Hello Neighbor! I am thrilled to introduce our upcycled greeting cards. Isn't it exciting to be able to upcycle something old into something new? I like that I don't have to reinvent the wheel, I just get to add my twist to it.
Upcycling: Taking something that isn't in use and turning it into something functional; giving it new life.
Here's how this started: Some time ago, my sister suggested that I look into partnering with folks who write letters of encouragement to people who are in need of a boost of positive words. I took her up on that offer and found two companies I really enjoyed called: More Love Letters and The Letter Project (in case you were curious).
Originally, I was creating greeting cards to send out but then life got busy. I found even with creating batches of cards, I was still running through them fairly quickly. Suddenly, an idea came to me. I could reach out to some friends and see if they have old or new cards they didn't care to keep. The response was overwhelming! I received boxes upon boxes of cards!

You may be wondering how this would help my cause. I'm glad you wondered. To be able to upcycle the cards meant I didn't have to make a new design. I could reuse the design that was already on the card by mixing and matching sentiments. I could also add my own personality to the card without having to start from scratch.
I hadn't planned on selling any of them, I was using them to send out to the people in the world that were in need of more love and encouragement. However, when the boxes rolled in, I thought, why not? Let's see what we can do. This has been a nice supplement next to my handmade cards. I haven't stopped making my own cards either. Some people like handmade cards and would prefer that instead and that's okay.
Thank you to my friends at Fellowship of Christ for donating their greeting cards and giving them new life!

Adding my own touch to this cat card by adding a sentiment, paw prints, and a sketch of a cat on the inside.
