Venture Out of Comfortability
This experience thus far has been draining. I'm keeping it real. It has drained me, but it's been a welcoming change

Hello Neighbor,
If you're like me (an introvert) than you know how easy it is to stay within the comfort zone of our world. To venture out into the unknown and do God knows what, can sometimes be intimidating. A lot of the time, I concern myself with the thought that if I throw myself out there, I'll lose myself and not be able to see that I'm no longer me. I know it sounds silly, perhaps, but this is the way I am.
Instagram, by far, have been the hardest part of my journey as far as comfortability. It's forced me to engage with others, to reveal myself, and to come out of my shell. Don't get me wrong, I like people. Engaging with people around the world from my little screen has been nothing short of amazing. I've enjoyed encouraging others to keep going and creating. It's been cool to see what other people are doing out there and how they do it.
Yet, that also means that I too have to reveal parts of myself that I normally wouldn't, with complete strangers. I'm a private person. Very private person. However, it's hard to connect to someone across a screen to just their work. Eventually, one gets curious and wants to know more. Who's the face behind the work. What are they like? Maybe it's just me but if I feel this way, why wouldn't I expect someone else to feel the same?
This experience thus far has been draining. I'm keeping it real. It has drained me, but it's been a welcoming change. I don't know how people who do the hustle thing do it. It's a lot. it's too much! Props to them! I'm happy with where I am on Instagram. So what, if I have one hundred supporters? Yay me! They are people whom I like their work. The point is, staying in the comfort world of my introverted self, needed a change. I wasn't looking for a drastic change, but it's been refreshing to say the least. I'm glad that I made a choice to step out of comfortability and put myself out there. May God help me! Haha.
I hope this was encouraging for you, neighbor. Do something different this week that takes you out of your comfort zone. Start with baby steps, one foot at a time and see what happens!
Until next time,
Ruthie
