IT'S LIFE

Hello neighbor! I hope you're having a good week so far,
I wish I could tell you all the fantastical things I've done with this tea themed book I've been working on but frankly, I can't. I live what I call an "adventurous" life. What that really mean is that I'm busy with family matters, errands, & lots of days spent in the car going to and fro. It's been a challenge to get back to crafting & sometimes, I've had to be okay with that.
There is nothing wrong with putting family first. We live in a society where hustling & staying busy is promoted that sometimes, we can forget what our true priorities are. Well, let me speak for myself. I don't know about everyone else.
What I do know is that I don't like the pressure of having to feel that I need to perform for others. I don't like the idea that I have to upload something every day, however many times of day. I want to be able to enjoy life & what it has to offer. I have done all the other things & it's only led me to feeling overwhelmed & miserable. I believe the older I get & the more mature I become, what matters to me in life become clearer.
Plus, sometimes, I find that I need to step away from what I'm working on & come back with new eyes and fresh ideas. The tea themed journal I'm working on was honestly in need of something, I wasn't sure what. Just yesterday, I was browsing in a consignment fair & found some nice paper that would go well with the tea-theme. They only cost a dollar-fifty for two packs of sixteen- twelve by twelve sheets. Sounds like a deal to me!
I hope to post more on my progress, especially because we now have two family cars (woot-woot)! This means I'll be able to do a little more crafting with less interruption and less time spent driving the car (I hope). The bottom line is, I don't shame anybody who does post multiple times a day & such. I understand this is a means of income for a lot of people. Instead, I want to encourage those who are new to the Instagram thing like I am, to go slow and steady. I'd also encourage you to post at least once a week to start out but that would be hypocritically of me because I'm not the most consistent person. Again, I'm living life on the edge and there's fun to be-had!
With joy,
Ruthie
