What Inspires Me

The things that inspire me come from all the things around me and within me!

IT'S LIFE

Hello Neighbor! I know it's been a while,

Somehow, time got away from me but here we are, basically halfway through the year!

I was pondering about items to create when my lovely husband suggested making wedding gifts. I don't know why it didn't cross my mind before, but I wasted no time in getting started. They turned out so lovely and then were quickly sold.

That being said, my husband inspires me with his ideas. Sometimes, they're silly ideas but I listen to them and ponder if it's something I can make work. Other times, I find inspiration on social media platforms, such as: Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. Instagram has a lovely craft community that doesn't hold back in sharing, collaborating, or assisting when I need it. Call me crazy but a bunch of strangers, coming together to support another stranger is beautiful.

YouTube is filled with craft artist that I watch. Although, I don't have a favorite, the one I find myself migrating to the most is Natasha from Treasure Books. She is an amazing artisan and has more ideas than I know what to do with! What I enjoy about all the crafters is their work and how different we all are even within our similarities. We each have something to offer and do it in our own way. On top of that, there's room for everyone because there's someone out there who will like our stuff.

Another person who inspires me is Holy Spirit - Rue. I find it funny that if I have an idea for one thing, he will guide me to create something else or help me navigate colors or textures. In the end, it turns out more beautiful than I had originally imagine. Oh, nature is also a great inspiration. Sometimes, watching the clouds and not thinking of anything in particular suddenly sparks something. However, the hardest thing for me to remember is to WRITE. IT. DOWN! I get excited and will completely forget at times and then kick myself in the butt! I'm learning though, it's taking me a while but I'm learning.

I'm curious where you get your inspiration from. I look forward to hearing from you!
